Phoenix Brighton, 10-14 Waterloo Place, Brighton - 12 hour all night special ! The Institute of Unnecessary Research will be participating and curating performances in "Night-time Fixations" at Phoenix Brighton for the White Night Festival. Luciana with Lucid Dreaming EEG project will be performing an interactive RSS-fed dream simulacrum. Phoenix Brighton, the largest and most eclectic hotbed of creativity in the city invites you to join them for a night of experimentation. Including an all night opening of the Photo Fringe show ‘Incident’ with work by photographer Sarah Pickering. Phoenix will offer an array of experimental art, including performances, music and installations by Beatabet Collective and The Institute of Unnecessary Research plus special guests and anything else that fixates us. All night long!
Between Life + Mind + Art - Brighton, Wednesday 29th October Luciana to explain and demonstrate her current project about Lucid Dreaming called Cyber Sleep. Many researchers whose work is linked to that of the Life and Mind seminar group http://lifeandmind.wordpress.com have found that as part of their output the spontaneous production of art is occurring, sometimes intentionally and at other times more organically. This event seeks to investigate this phenomenon and invites researchers to share their artworks and experiences alongside artists working in similar areas.

, 6.30pm-9pm, Chichester University, West Sussex, £15 Luciana Haill and Andrew T. Austin return with their selection of brain
tools and equipment designed for accessing both the software and the
hardware of our neurology to effect creative change.
This meeting will demonstrate and enable participants to try out light
and sound mind machines, Alphastims, ECG's and IBVA and experience the
difference whilst experimenting with NLP and applied neurological techniques.
